Provider standards
The banks and brokerages whose options appear on CD Rate Scout agree to the following expectations. Meeting them is a condition of being listed — not a guarantee of any provider’s products or conduct.
Non-callable products only
Providers may only list brokered CDs that the issuing bank cannot redeem before the stated maturity date.
Complete, current terms
Every listing must include the term, stated maturity date, APY, minimum deposit and interest-payment schedule, and providers must tell us promptly when an option changes or is withdrawn.
FDIC-member issuing banks
CDs listed on this site are issued by FDIC-member banks. Coverage itself is determined by the issuing bank and the FDIC within applicable limits and ownership-category rules.
Full disclosure before any transaction
Before any transaction is completed, the provider must give the consumer the issuing bank's identity and the complete final terms in writing.
Respect for consumer choices
Providers must honor opt-out and do-not-contact requests and handle consumer information in line with their own privacy policies and applicable law.
CD Rate Scout Ltd. does not endorse, guarantee or accept responsibility for any provider. Providers are independent third parties responsible for their own products, disclosures and compliance.
